GIGIPAYNE Studio collaborates with international schools across Thailand to design engaging, hands-on art experiences for young learners. These programs are created to complement classroom learning by giving children the opportunity to explore materials, processes, and creative thinking in a more open and tactile way.

Natural Tie Dye Indigo Workshop

We collaborate with schools in different ways depending on their learning goals. At International School Bangkok (ISB), GIGIPAYNE Studio’s team led a 7-day guest artist residency for Grade 1–5 students, where children explored how traditional craft knowledge can be transformed into engaging, age-appropriate creative projects.

A favorite activity was working with natural indigo dye, where students experimented with pattern-making and discovered how color can come from plants. Through these activities, they began to see the connection between art, science, and the environment in a way that felt hands-on and memorable.

With Windfield International School in Koh Samui, students visited our studio as part of a school trip, taking part in a one-day hands-on Batik Painting workshop that introduced them to traditional techniques of textile artmaking.

Teachers noted that the workshops encouraged patience, curiosity, and sensory learning — qualities that are often hard to nurture in fast-paced classroom settings. For many students, it was their first experience creating something from raw, natural materials and seeing a transformation happen step by step.

Programs like these support not only artistic development, but also environmental awareness, cultural understanding, and confidence in creative expression.
