Evisu Bangkok Flagship Store, Siam Discovery - Spring 2025
Evisu came to us with their brand assets and a clear intention: give their customers something to make. Three days at the Bangkok flagship store in Siam Discovery, open to walk-in visitors, with craft stations running across the full event. The occasion was the brand's anniversary — a loyalty moment, not a product launch — and the activity needed to feel personal enough to match that.
The pieces were chosen to work with what Evisu already had. Crossbody bags, panama hats, coin pouches — small, wearable objects that a visitor could finish in a single session and leave carrying. GIGIPAYNE prepared all the materials in advance: Evisu denim, logo patches, and brand fabric cut and prepped into components ready for customisation. Visitors didn't start from scratch. They started from something already recognisably Evisu, and made it their own.
The techniques were patchwork, decorative stitching, embroidery, and appliqué — a range that let people work at their own pace and comfort level. Someone who had never held a needle could finish a coin pouch with hand stitching and a patch. Someone more confident could spend the same time building a composed design across a bag, placing logo fragments and denim offcuts with intention. The materials did a lot of the work — Evisu's visual identity is strong enough that even a simple arrangement reads well.
What made the three days work was the preparation. Every session piece was cut, assembled, and staged by GIGIPAYNE before the store opened each morning. Visitors arrived, chose their object, and sat down to work. The craft station ran without friction because everything behind it had already been resolved.
By the end of the third day, every piece that left the store was one-of-a-kind — same brand assets, different hands, different results. That's the nature of hand craft: the material sets the range, but the person decides where it lands.
