Levi's Team Workshop: Indigo Shibori Tie-Dye at GIGIPAYNE Studio, Bangkok

Spring 2026 — Sathorn, Bangkok

When Levi's Thailand reached out earlier this year, the brief was clear: 50 people, one session, something worth keeping. The team was in Bangkok for a company event, the studio next to One Bangkok was the venue, and they wanted the activity to produce something genuinely on-brand — not a generic craft afternoon, but a souvenir that felt like Levi's.

Indigo shibori was the right fit. The color is denim-close — that same deep, washed blue that the brand has carried for over a century. And shibori is, at its core, a textile craft: fold the fabric, bind it tight, dip it into natural indigo, unwrap. The process is hands-on and considered, which is exactly what the brief called for.

We worked directly with Levi's HR management team to select folding patterns suited to a group of 50 working simultaneously — techniques that hold up under first-timer conditions while still leaving room for variation. Each person follows the same method, but the result is their own. How you fold, how tight you bind, where pressure falls — these small decisions accumulate, and when you open the fabric, no two pieces look the same.

Every participant left with a hand-dyed indigo t-shirt made on a Levi's-supplied blank — a wearable piece with a clear story behind it. Something made by hand, in an afternoon, with the brand's own material. That kind of object tends to stay with people longer than most event souvenirs do.

Levi's Thailand was satisfied with how the session came together — the coordination, the quality of the output, and how the activity held together as a team experience. It ran the way they planned, which is what good event work looks like from the outside.

If you're planning a company event in Bangkok and want a craft session built around your brand, we're open to that conversation. Capacity at the Sathorn studio goes up to 60, and we can work with your materials, your brief, and your schedule.
