Batik wax-resist dyeing for 100 employees, run entirely at Agoda's CentralWorld office. GIGIPAYNE Studio set up a full workshop floor — individual stations, dye colors, wax tools — and facilitated the whole session from setup to final rinse.
The brief had a concept behind it: each team member was asked to bring their country's heritage into the design. Agoda runs international teams, and the workshop became a way to make that visible — patterns drawn from different cultures, made by hand, dyed in the same bath. The work of 100 people, all different, all textile.
Running a batik session at that scale takes preparation most craft studios don't carry. Wax at temperature across every station, dye consistency across batches, enough tjanting tools and cotton for the full group, pacing that keeps 100 people moving without anyone waiting. The GIGIPAYNE team handled the logistics and the facilitation. Every participant finished their piece.
Each employee left with a hand-dyed cotton piece featuring their own batik design — drawn from wherever they're from, made in Bangkok.
