Macramé is a decorative knotting technique — cotton cord tied into repeating knots that build into textured, structured designs. The rhythm is quick to find, and the results look far more considered than the process feels. It's a craft that rewards patience without demanding skill.
In this hands-on workshop at GIGIPAYNE Studio in Bangkok, you learn the basic knotting techniques and practice them step by step. You work through the lark's head knot, the square knot, and the spiral knot, building a decorative wall hanging as you go. Each knot adds structure and movement to the piece.
By the end of the session, you leave with a finished macramé wall hanging and the confidence to continue knotting at home.
