This workshop covers the fundamentals from scratch, no experience needed. By the end of the session, you'll have the confidence to sit down at any sewing machine and start a project.
At GIGIPAYNE Studio in Bangkok, fashion professionals walk you through the full process: setting up and operating a sewing machine, reading a garment pattern, cutting fabric to size, and constructing a real piece of clothing from start to finish. You work at your own pace, learning straight stitch, seam finishing, and how the pieces of a garment come together. The skills are practical — the kind you actually use again.
Good for anyone curious about fashion, garment construction, or mastering a craft that could lead you to a runway show. Whether you want to make clothes for yourself, start a small label, or just understand how clothing is built — this is where it starts. You leave with a completed garment you made yourself and the sewing pattern to recreate the project at home.
Your Creative Project
In this session you choose and complete one beginner-friendly garment from scratch — from reading the pattern to the final stitch.

You leave with your finished one handmade garment and the sewing pattern used in the workshop.
Techniques & Materials
You learn core machine sewing skills — the same fundamentals used in professional garment production.
You practice:
• Sewing machine setup and operation — both industrial and home models
• Straight stitch, backstitch, and seam finishing
• Reading a garment pattern and cutting fabric to size
• Assembling garment sections piece by piece
• Clean edge finishing for a professional result
All materials and equipment provided:
• Industrial and home sewing machines
• Pattern paper, measuring tools, and cutting accessories
• Muslin fabric for your garment project
