Overview

In this hands-on workshop at GIGIPAYNE Studio in Bangkok, you will learn how to design and assemble mosaic patterns using ceramic tiles and other materials. The process is creative, tactile, and beginner-friendly, making it easy to experiment with color, shapes, and composition.
This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in craft, design, or decorative art. By the end of the session, you will create a functional mosaic piece that can be used at home or kept as a handmade souvenir from Bangkok.
Techniques & Materials
Participants will learn the essential techniques used in mosaic art.
You will learn how to:
Arrange mosaic tiles to form patterns and designs
Combine colors and shapes for visual balance
Secure tiles onto a base surface
Apply grout to finish the mosaic piece
All materials are provided, including:
Ceramic tiles and mosaic pieces
Glass fragments and decorative elements
Adhesives and grout materials
Base forms for mosaic designs
Throughout the workshop you will experiment with patterns and color combinations while assembling your mosaic artwork.
Your Creative Project
During the workshop you will create a handmade mosaic piece.
Participants will:
Choose a base object such as a coaster, cup, or small decorative surface
Arrange tiles and mosaic elements to build a pattern
Apply grout to complete the final design
