Overview
Discover how natural pigments from plants can transform plain fabric into rich, organic colors. In this hands-on workshop at GIGIPAYNE Studio in Bangkok, you’ll learn the fundamentals of natural dyeing while experimenting with plant-based materials and simple dye techniques.
Participants will explore how different plants, mordants, and fabric preparation methods influence color results. The process is both creative and practical, making it ideal for anyone interested in sustainable fashion, textile design, or natural materials.
By the end of the workshop, you will have created a collection of dyed fabric samples that can serve as your own natural color reference palette for future textile or design projects.

I had an fascinating afternoon with Gigi doing Ecoprinting and Natural Dye. Gigi is very knowledgeable and personal, and supports several local green projects. I learnt alot from her and had great fun hands-on. Will come back again!

On a recent trip to visit my sister in Bangkok, we spent two days with Gigi - one day for eco printing and one for batik. She is incredibly knowledgable, personable, and fun. I learned so much and just scratched the smallest surface of what Gigi knows. She is an expert who approaches her art with scientific precision, which means she sent me home with beautiful works of art. She loves what she does, and it shows. I am so happy my sister and I shared our time together in Gigi's studio. I will go back.
