Pin thread to wood, wrap it around a grid of nails, and watch geometric shapes build up line by line. The pattern comes from the path — each pass of thread adds depth and color until the composition fills itself in.
At GIGIPAYNE Studio in Bangkok, you work through the full process: placing pins, choosing colors, and building a design by hand. No drawing required. The geometry does the work.
Good for beginners and anyone who likes working with their hands. Precise enough to be satisfying, simple enough to finish in one session. You leave with a framed string art piece — a geometric composition you built yourself, ready to hang.
Your Creative Project
During the workshop you will create one framed string art piece on a wooden board.
You will leave with a ready-to-hang string art artwork (on 30x30 wood board) that can be displayed at home or given as a handmade gift.
Techniques & Materials
You will:
• Plan a design on a wooden board
• Place pins to create the structural pattern
• Wrap thread to build geometric shapes
• Combine colors to create layered visual effects
All materials are provided, including:
• Wooden boards prepared for string art
• Colored threads
• Pins and hammer tools
• Design templates and guides
