Overview
Experience the calming rhythm of mandala dot painting, where repeated patterns and color placement form balanced geometric designs.
In this hands-on workshop at GIGIPAYNE Studio in Bangkok, you will learn how to build circular mandala patterns using dotting tools and vibrant acrylic paints. The process is simple and meditative, making it accessible for beginners while still enjoyable for experienced creatives.
This workshop is ideal for anyone looking to slow down, focus, and enjoy a mindful creative activity while learning how symmetry, color, and repetition work together in mandala design.
Techniques & Materials
Participants will practice the key techniques used in mandala dot painting.
You will learn how to:
Plan a circular mandala composition
Use dotting tools to create clean, precise patterns
Build layered dots to develop symmetry
Combine colors to enhance contrast and rhythm
All materials are provided, including:
Black circular painting plates
Acrylic paint colors
Dotting tools and styluses
Rulers and layout guides
Throughout the workshop you will experiment with different color combinations and dot sizes to develop your own pattern.
Your Creative Project
During the workshop you will create two mandala dot artworks on circular plates.
Participants will:
Plan a mandala layout from the center outward
Apply layered dots to build geometric symmetry
Develop repeating patterns using color and spacing
You will leave with two finished mandala plates, each featuring your own unique design.
